I was born in Finley so naturally started Pre school here. I then attended Finley Public school before making the transition to Finley High. I enjoyed my time there, although might not have admitted that at the time! I graduated year 12 in 2004.
When I was in year 10, I started working at the local supermarket, saving my money for a horse. My family is not horsey at all, apart from my Grandma, so I was continually nagging for a horse of my own. I was able to look after some friends horses when they were away for holidays, before finding out about PCAV's Riders Without Horses Program. I went to the local Pony Club when I was in yr 10, and from there became friends with a local family that happened to have a spare horse. Socks was a beautiful horse about 14.3hh chestnut gelding. He pretty much taught me to ride, and took me to my first One Day event! I rode him for about 2 yrs before he sadly did an injury. By this stage, my parents had decided that I wasn't going to grow out of this 'horse addiction', and we started horse shopping!
