Well, the past couple of weeks have been interesting! Goblin and I had our 2nd stack and it was a good one. After leaning down his shoulder to squash a mozzie, he took off cantering and bucking...straight for the fence. You know when you get one of those feelings that this isn't going to end well...well thats what I got! I came off 2m from the fence, flat on my back and hitting my head. After spending a few minutes ticking off my list to check that yes, in fact I was ok, I got up, caught Goblin and got back on for a few minutes. Then decided that it would be best to go home for a bit! Grazed back, head ache and getting stiffer by the minute..yes, time to take it easy for the rest of the day!
After that I had a bit of a problem getting on Goblin..not because he was bad, because I was nervous! So my good brother came and stood with me while I got on :) Goblin didn't put a hoof wrong, was perfect and worked really well.

Then it was off to Leonie for a much needed lesson and confidence boost, and that's exactly what I got. I can confidently say Goblin and I are back on track. Leonie also introduced us to the plastic bag on a stick, to help desensitize Goblin and it is working a treat. I can feel Goblin has more trust in me, and it shows in his work. It is really amazing how doing somthing slightly different makes such a big difference to our partnership. It was also the first trip Goblin and Gamble had had together on the float, and within 40 minutes they were besties!
